Are signs real? I have literally been thinking of moving to this area because of the weather, but as a white woman, I seek out diverse areas to work and live. I doubt this blatant racism has disappeared from the area so checking it off my list.

I grew up near Odessa, NY. One winter the snow was so deep, the snowplows were unable to move. The drifts were so high! When it melted down a little my friend tripped over the top of the swing set! In , I think 2003, our second story windows were covered over with snow. We opened the south basement door to a wall of snow. We have had very little snow for many years now. I’m 62 now and love remembering our snowy hilltop adventures.

One thing all these types of kids have in common is that no male family was around to whip them or check them when they stepped out of line and they had no drive to make money to feed themselves or clothe themselves because they had enablers in their life.
